Apology to my Students: A Poem

I've always liked William Carlos William's brilliant "This is Just to Say," and when GingerB at Gas-Food-Lodging posted her own very funny spoof and linked back to Schmutzie's marvelous post, I had to take on the challenge. You may see more.

Love that poem! So simple yet so complex. And I love your version too! I have my students on my online class write their own as well.

I don't know if you're an NPR listener but if you head over to the "This American Life" page and look for their recent podcast entitled, "Mistakes Were Made," there is a FANTASTIC set of spoofs on that poem. I laughed out loud at more than one of them...

OK...more and more spooky parallels, I posted about that poem quite a bit ago, I LOVE it....I'd so forgive him. The poem is totally worth the plums

Hahaha! I heard this on NPR-TAL too! pretty cute.

And thank you for introducing me to more mommy bloggers. Even as a non-mommy, I find them fascinating! Indian mommies! (IN INDIA!) What a small world!
